i think tdy i will talk abt a very common topic.. called love..

love is a complicated matter..
there are simply too many forms of it..
family love
friends love
romance love
yet when people talk abt love..
it is the romance dat they refer to..

so on to the romance love den..

can it be depicted?
can it be seen?
can it even be described by words?
or should it be shown thru actions?

the last romantic movie i watch was The Lake House.
which was romantic yes,
but not realistic..
so must all romantic stuffs be unrealistic?
mus such love onli exist in our imaginations and movieS?

maybe not..
just so.. i've seen a movie..
showing love..
3 stories and 1 true tale..

cos it was shown at least a yr ago.. rated R21.. and it was a locally produced movie..

about an elderly man coming to terms with the loss of his wife
the forbidden love between 2 youngsters, Sam and Jackie (this story was the reason why i watched the movie)
and the social divide dat prevents a sercurity guard from confessing his love to an excutive lady

1 true tale..
abt Theresa Chan, a blind and deaf woman who amazingly overcomes such odds to live almost independently by herself..

each and every story so life like.. so .. everyday life happening kinda thing..
the rush of falling in love..
the joy of exhanging smses all thru the day..
the wishes dat this forbidden lover might last forever..
the pain of drifting apart..
the stabbing of a betrayal, of cheating..
the overpowering 'forgiveness' and the 'willingness' to 'forget' it as long as she comes back
the sorrow when u realise its over..
the hopelessness when u can nv see her again..
the heartbreak of a split dat drives u to jump..
the 'monotone'ness of life when u try to come to terms..
the throbbing of memories of her image..
the heart wrenching when u noe u and her can nv be together, but u still want to give it a try..
the small happy feeling when u daydream everyday abt it..
the skip of the beat of the heart when u see her appearing..
the heart pounding when u finally want to take the first step in confessing..
the high u feel when u think and hope she might be touched and accept ur confession..


all these sound familiar?

yups..
the movie is mostly silent and uses subtitles instead to show the dark, quiet, lonely world of Theresa Chan.. amazing how she still manages to touch lives and reach out a helping hand even with her handicaps..

i cant say how good this movie is in one post..
its really a 5/5 kinda movie..
marvellous.. exceptional.. outstanding.. and every other praise u can possibly think off..

if u can get ur hands on a DVD or VCD..
watch it..
u will not regret..
and yah.. prepare tissue if u cry easily..

btw, its R21, but no porno or nude shoots or violence or strong language..
most prob the reason its R21 is cos Sam and Jackie are both girls..
yups, Ezann Lee and Samantha Tan star as Sam and Jackie.. dunno which is which tho..
