i visited
geylang..
a place in geylang,
called high point..
its a halfway house,
a place for ex-cons and ex-drug abusers..
they look like normal people
they are normal people
they just made mistakes before
they need another chance
they want to feel useful again
they repented
they work hard
they can still be a part of us, a part of society
talking to them made me feel
lucky
i have to work harder on my life
cos their lives are meaningful now

i think,
u need to have lost meaning,
before u can find it again..

they found it in religion
and they say it helped them find their way
such a strong thing isn't it, religion
can push pple to war,
or it can push pple to peace and hope
i guess its turned into another tool for us humans to manipulate other humans
